finess Mrnnh, your snap judgment of my orb count reveals a lack of the deeper knowledge of GM Governing Dynamics. There is no optimal number of orbs. There is only an optimal score. Careful orb placement/count makes certain actions/strategies necessary if that optimal score is desired. Although there will always be levels that can be solved in a way other than what the level creator intended, his/her effective use of orb placement/count can be the determining factor as to what the highest scoring way is. Your perspective is understandable, however, as you are only just now beginning to transition from the embryonic stage of viewing levels as pass/fail challenges to your personal skill level, to the stage of seeing levels as opportunities to enjoy some friendly competition, where scores are important. Your own levels—and your view of the levels of others—will evolve as that transition continues. You correctly noted to a new level creator in the past that "most people around here object to playing a level with so many targets", but that is due to the fact that more than 20 orbs can cause the scoreboard to malfunction. Therefore, the only meaningful rule pertaining to orb usage is, "use 20 orbs or less". Also, using more than 10 orbs does not 'slow down the server' as you've suggested in another comment. A game with many elements could, though, slow your computer down, as your computer's CPU and RAM are responsible for the quality of gameplay you experience while playing GM. If this is the case, you can try changing your quality setting (keyboard shortcut: Q). Using a different browser can have a positive effect too. For example, (if you happen to have a Windows system) I find Opera to be smoother than IE. Your levels have been excellent. Keep learning and enjoying GM!............i meen..........whutever who carez ;) 8 years 10 months ago
