Okay, I've tested for pass through spots. I tried tipping it, lifting it, Dropping things on it, Throwing things at it. I've double clicked around each object, I tried lifting the platform.... I haven't launched the ball at it, but I tested rocks.. And the inside lower is bouncey..

"I haven't launched the ball at it". The name of the level implies a soft spot, and the ball is sitting there with a ramp directly in front of it. Come on, dude...

I tried that after too, it didnt' reveal anything, except that it bounces off normaly, like the rocks. I did find the 'soft spot' though.. When bouncing a square inside, it got stuck near the top.. today I checked the left side by ramping a circle down the side. Found it.
