with enough time you could animate a whole movie in a level.

Definitely. There are a few elaborate ones in the past by folks. I made one of these scrollers a while back (level/1828). I just forgot to make it FUN, lol. But I was happy with the look of it, anyway. Of course, lag rears its ugly head if you throw too much into it. I wish that wasn't the case.
