Bob bumped into the Mother-in-law of his ex at the supermarket the other day. (After his ex found someone other than Bob to marry, their relationship, although fairly distant, became much more amicable, so much so that he could sit and talk with Ida at the church picnic for a good half hour without any discomfort.)
